Mechanisms of action
First: For Research Assistant Applications:
- Requests from research assistants are received by e-mail (dsrra@ksu.edu.sa) through the submission of an application form accompanied by the required documents.
- After reviewing applications, applicants are referred to the relevant training institutions to interview them.
- After passing the interview, a tripartite agreement is signed between the program management, the trainer, and the assistant researcher.
- In the involvement of living beings (human/ animal studies) within the research, the applicant is required to register with the National Committee of Bioethics (NCBE) and obtain the required certificate: http://bioethics.kacst.edu.sa/Register/register-resercher.aspx
- The applicant is prepared for the research process through a distance training course in the basics of scientific research according to the research language.
- The research assistant is required to obtain an appropriate course provided by the ethics of scientific research (IRB) – as evident below – if his/her research involves living beings (human/ animal studies):

- The researcher's assistant was prepared for the research process through a distance training course in the basics of scientific research according to the research language.
- The research assistant may be required to attain additional qualifying courses from Research Ethics and Compliance Training program depending on the field of training and upon the recommendation of the training supervisor or principal investigator.
Second: For Faculty Members at the University:
- Applications from interested faculty members are received by e-mail (dsrra@ksu.edu.sa) through the submission of a research assistant application form accompanied by their curriculum vitae and the abstract of their intended research project.
- In the involvement of living beings (human/ animal studies) within the research, the applicant is required to register with the National Committee of Bioethics (NCBE) and obtain the required certificate:http://bioethics.kacst.edu.sa/Register/register-resercher.aspx
