The overall objective: to activate the partnership between universities and the private sector in the development of scientific research, and guide such a partnership towards the development priorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and improve economic performance.                                    

Specific objective: get out effective partnerships between King Saud University and the private sector.

Expected objectives to be achieved from the seminar:

• Identify the nature and models of the partnership between universities and private sector organizations.
• Identify aspects of the benefit from strengthening of the relationship between universities and the private sector for both parties.
•  Identify the main challenges and obstacles that hinder an effective relationship between the private sector and universities.
• Showing successful experiences of university relationships  and the private sector in some countries as models to have  advantages from.
• Proposing mechanisms to activate the role of the private sector in support of scientific research in the university based on the results of this seminar.
• Achieving one of the objectives of the initiative 5.5 "to provide competitive grants to support researches, and interface projects among sciences". The fifth goal of the strategic plan for the University KSU2030  "Building bridges of communication inside and outside the university."

Specialized seminar including accompanying exhibition oriented to discuss the research and development partnerships among Saudi universities in general, and King Saud University in particular, and between institutions, companies, businesses and industrial sectors and other economic institutions of society.
